Important Safety Notice: CO₂ Usage with HiFlo Units
Dear Customer,
As a reminder, HiFlo units must be operated using Food Grade CO₂ gas only.
Liquid CO₂ must never be used.
Cylinder Identification Reminder:
We have received reports of CO₂ cylinders that are not properly marked by suppliers, which may lead to incorrect use.
Liquid CO₂ cylinders contain a dip/siphon tube and are typically identified by:
- Markings along the cylinder
- A red ring at the top
- A label designation marked with “S”
Below are reference images showing properly marked cylinders with a dip/siphon tube designation. These cylinders should never be used with a HiFlo unit.
Verification Recommendation:
We recommend confirming with your CO₂ supplier that you have the correct gas-only cylinder before use with your HiFlo unit.
Equipment Impact:
Using the wrong CO₂ type will result in equipment damage.
Common indicators of incorrect CO₂ use include:
Unstable or fluctuating phosphine dispensing rates on the control screen
A damaged phosphine regulator gauge (left side), which may become fixed at a single value
If this occurs, the regulator gauge must be replaced to restore proper operation.
